2000 4.8 4x4 Silverado Oil Pump

hi im a newbeee

i have a 2000 silverado 4x4 extended cab half doors ?

with noise lifters that have gotten increasing-ly worse . and piston slap .

i am guessing the oil pump is week ? or i guess theres a oil seal on the tube that craps the bed.

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS CAN I GET THE OIL PAN OFF IN THE TRUCK WITH OUT PULLING THE MOTOR & HOW I CAN SEE A CROSS MEMBER BRACE UNDER THE OIL PAN WITH 4 BOLTS THAT GOOD. BUT FRAME STRESS ? FROM REMOVING THIS BRACE .? AND IT LOOKS TO CLOSE TO THE A FRAIM SUPPORT ?

i dont know what chevy is thinking of these days but i have been a dye hard chevy own-ner.

i have been a auto motive machinest for 20 yrs iv been to dana tec school .if i built a motor like this i would not have a job long.chevy has a great design but louse quality control .Why ? I DONT care about fancy buttons and gagets.

O i am good .i tryed to fix that sorry i dont have a service manual and i got out of the machine shop a few yr .

i thought some one on here might have a copy ?

im thinking about geting a oil pump from summit high volume lo psi ...
