Oil Life Monitor

Hi-

 

Changed the oil in my 2009 Gmc Sierra v6, scrolled to the oil life monitor percentage, pressed button until monitor read 100%, now when I'm scrolling through the readouts the oil life percentage does not show up. Do I need to reset something else?

Nope, thats all you need to do but I'm not sure why its not showing up It should be there.

Betcha a mountain dew that it got an electrical gremlin. bet it will be there in the morning or after you disconnect and reconnect the ground battery cable.

were you in gear the second time you tried to read the OLM?

Really? Must be a change. On long trips in my 06 I often watch the OLM just for giggles.

With dic it will display while driving

without dic it will display while in park using the push button on the speed o meter
