removing door alarm

I want to know how to get rid of that annoying door alarm on my 2003 tahoe. When you open the doors while Im cleaning it drives me nuts, never mind the fact I cannot listen to music while the doors are open. I took the panel off under neath the steering wheel and it is not set up like my Av where I could find the wire and cut it. Thanks

Go to the door jam where the contact circuit switch is and remove the contact switch....all you should have to do is hard wire it without the switch to complete the circuit and voila.
