Good Exhaust For 5.3?

So I've narrowed it down to Mag 14" or Dynomax in stock location. I disagree with comments about glasspacks sounding terrible, my 90 sounds BEAUTIFUL.

However, I don't want cherry bombs on my new one, and don't have much experience with either of the above. Is the Dynomax much louder than the Magnaflow? Am I going to have to listen hard to hear the Mag? I want it to sound impressive, but not be too much.

P.S. factory pipe is 2 3/4" so I order a 3" muffler right?

I ordered 3" local muffler shop did the rest in about 30min. I went with the 18" magnaflow, when you have your foot down you can hear it. When you set the cruise and 70-75 its almost not there! Local muffler shop is a friend of friend, he took care of me really good. He moved the location of the muffler back about 10" (magnaflow, even the 18" is much shorter than the stock) I was told this will help with the sound. I also has a pair of 4" stainless magnafow tips I won at a car show, I traded him one tip and $50 for the weld job and added piping. Then he took my tip and cut bent and welded it so it comes out just under the corner of the rear bumper. I wanted something different and because I often haul a enclosed trailer right out the back I was worried about a echo while driving.

OK the video was done when the truck was pretty dirty after some snow. I don't like tip myself...I like more of stealth look. This is flowmaster Force 10. I'ts the only thing that is done the rest of the sytem is stock, I had the stock muffler removed and the force 10 installed.....cost me about $100.00.

I might be loud in regard to what your looking for but at cruise it's very mellow, no drone when towing a car hauler, no phone or music issues and it's sound is just pure V-8 music!!! Out side the truck with it taking off it sounds frigging awsome!!! Kinda loud but not bad to me.

After many days of research i orderd a 14inch Magnaflow. I had the local shop replace the stock with it and remove the tail pipe (i like the clean look from the back). All i can say is it sounds DAMN good. Not to loud. It has a nice low rumble that a truck should have. i recommend going with the Magnaflow.

Muffler shop put on the Mag yesterday. Install cost was $50. Great sound when you accelerate, but quiets down on the highway.

Would single 3 1/2" be too big for 5.3, with tuner and cold air intake.

ALL you need to do is a cat back with muffler delete. I did it to my truck about 3 months ago sounds amazing and good and not loud at all I think. ANd only costs 60.00 bucks installed with new pipe bent up and put it.:):)
