Throttle Body By Pass

I was reading about the throttle body by pass. This is simple to do but is it worth it? I live in NC and it can get cold. Has anyone done it and seen a difference? I'm just trying to gain what little power I can.

Well I have had this mod on my truck for about a year and I like it alot. My gas mileage increased by 1-2mpg and it feels like it added more low-end power (no proof just seat of the pants).

It doesn't get very cold here, normally coldest is about 28 degrees but the average during winter is around a low of 38-45. Its basically just heating up the air that comes into the TB, its a dry system.

You could allways try it and if you dont like it just hook it back up, its an easy install.

I havn't checked mpg or anything, but like y2kz71 said, I think I can feel a slight power increase.  It's easy enough to change back if you don't like it.

Is there any way to put a valve inline so you can disable/enable the coolant flow?

RyanbabZ71, I'm in eastern NC on the east side of I-95 a little town of Goldsboro.  We did the French Broad in 96, only had one class 4 rapid. Calico is the 4x4 haven I am told but that is 5 hours from me.

 

I'm from Western Pa myself and miss the Mountains. Yes that part of NC is nice.
