Is the tension not adjustable on the accsory belt? Mine squeals sometimes so I took a quick look at it and I thought it was abitt looser than it should be, but it looks like there is just a springloaded tensioner? No way to incerase the tension?

Replace the belt and check condition of the tensioner. It may need to be replaced also

When in doubt, replace both....... It sure does suck to have to have a re-do... Just for the one that you thought it wasn't and it was. This way you only get your hands dirty once and only have to do it once.

+1 on that. I'd even go so far as to replace not only the entire tensioner assembly, but the idler pulley (am assuming it has one) too. One and done. Make sure to use a good quality belt.

 

And a thought: With the cold wx coming, does it squeal only when the engine and temp outside is cold? Mine has done that since new. Quiet in the summer and squeals for ten minutes when it gets cold outside.
