Wheel Well Undercoating

I know this subject has many threads here, but I'm looking for info on how everybodies wheel wells are holding up now? I'm looking at doing my 11 Sierra, but want to know how things are holding up now. Things like peeling? Cleaning? Do you drive on snow/salt covered roads? What product did you use, 3M or DupliColor, etc? Touch ups. Overall happy that you did it?

Thanks.

Get it clean, scuff it up really good, then clean it again. Mask it off, clean it again. Spray it with some good under coating..... I have always used 3M......... The one in the green can. I don't remember the number right now.... But I've never had one peal....... As far as it starting to look bad, recoat it but I have never had to recoat....

Agree that Line-X or Rhino Liner would be a superior option if you really want to have a solid worry-free coating. But I opted to buy cans of 3M undercoating and do it myself. It's worked for the past 18 months against snow and mud...but wouldn't trust its protection abilities much beyond that.

I tried the duplicolor, it wore off over about 18 months. currently have 4 heavy coats of the rustolieum stuff, so far seems to be holding up.

The stuff I used on my truck and it has held up for over a year was Rocker Guard. I sanded down the wheel wells really good and cleaned them off and let dry. Applied about 3 coats of this stuff and then I put a coat of black paint to help seal it since it's a bit porous.

I have driven on gravel roads, salted winter roads and it still looks just as good as the day I sprayed it on.

I used the Evercoat Rubberized Undercoating (has a corvette on the label) on the truck and the Jeep's wheel wells. So far so good- no peeling or chipping and the Jeep has seen alot of mud and rocks  and I'm constantly pressure washing it. It's a combination of a good product and surface prep
