Good Truck, Bad Saturn

Love my 09 Silverado as much as the day I went to get it. On the other hand I bought the wife an 07 Saturn Outlook XR with 50k miles on it but loaded to the hills with options.

We have been enjoying the car for about a year now BUT I did have to do a complete brake system job on it because the Wal Mart service tech filled my brake master cylinder with power steering fluid when it came in the power steering had a bit of a whine to it.( he didn't fix it ) the wife drove it for 2 weeks and she came home and told me the brakes FAILED on her a t a stop light. I checked the fluid and it was cloudy and very thin. Drained the entire brake system and flushed it 3 times in 4 days. Fixed the problem..This was in July when it was 109 degrees every day for 44 days BTW.

She came home 3 days ago and said her engine light and service stabilitrac/traction control was on. Auto zone tran codes and said the battery was bad. I went home and pulled the battery and went back up there a bought a new one ($148.00) for the "special" under the floor type. (UGH) After I installed the new battery the lights are all still on for 2 days now..

Anyone know how to "service " these damn things to get the lights to go off ? It is driving fine other than it tries to spin the front tires at every stoplight without traction controll. (with me driving of course)

Why in the wide wide world of sports would you ever take your car to be serviced at Wal-Mart?

My wife did and they are the only place that carries Mobil 5000 that is in the car.

Pull the neg side of the battery for 5 minutes to clear the codes.

I will try it. Thanks a million.

shouldn't that have cleared the codes when he swapped the batteries? or did you change them in less than 5 minutes?
