New Wheel Question

Hey all, new around here and saw most of you guys really know your stuff. I just got a 2004 ext. cab, short wheel base, stepside, 4x4 silverado and plan to spice it up a bit with a new set of tires and wheels.

 

I've got absolutely no clue about backspacing or leveling kits or any of that jazz so I was hoping someone here might know what would have to be done to get the wheel and tire look I want. Id like to have the aggressive looking tires that stick out an inch or so on the tires and large enough not to look goofy.

Not sure what size tire would work for that but I've heard I need at least 9 or 10" wide rims and can go no larger than 33" total diameter on the tire.

 

If anyone has any idea what id need to do to make it work, id be thankful for the info

Well, I see 6/5.5 with 5.0" of backspacing but I think 10" is to wide but thats my opinion. There going to stick out. for the gmt-900's 4.5" of backspacing on an 8" wide wheel has a stock look, so with 5" of backspacing an 8.5" wide wheel would look the same. 10" wheels will stick out about 1.5" You'd need more backspacing if you don't want them to stick out so much.

 

I will say this, I've bought 3 sets of wheels from that website and they were awesome.

Id like em to stick out a good inch or so if at all possible. Tried finding a picture to show what I mean, but no dice. Would I rub the fenders or anything with the 10" rim or would I need a lift put on? Id prefer a leveling kit over a lift if possible.
