2012 Oem Nav Unit Swap To 2010 Possible?

It may be too early to ask, but there are plenty of good GM Techs on here that may be able to answer this.

GM has finally updated the factory NAV system to be similar to the one found in my wife's 2010 Terrain with harddrive based info and better graphics and integration. Does anyone know if this unit can be retrofit into a 2010 Avalanche? The new NAV systems also feature NAV traffic and weather. Would these two features also be available after the swap? Is the XM radio ID and functionality built into the NAV units or is is separate? I currently have NAV traffic on my 2010 and don't really have any need for NAV weather, but I don't want to lose NAV traffic either.

I would assume a reprogram / flash / configure would be required after the install?

Any help would be appreciated.

I also see the LTZ Avalanches now get heated steering wheels. It looks like GM is emptying the parts bin before the refresh in 2014.

I also noticed at least in Canada the cost of the NAV system was cut from $3200 to $1495 for 2012. For that price I would have ordered it.
