Hi Im New......i Need Help With My 350

hi i have a 1977 chevy 1-ton im still in high school and i need help... we put a brand new rebuilt 350 and put it in the truck we had it running better than ever but then 2 things happened it ran out of fuel and we replaced the quadrajet with a Holley...we got a little bit more gas and we tested the holley now it ran but it was leaking out the gaskets so we put more gas and put the quadrajet back on and now it won't start and the couple times it did start it was running half the rpm's of when we had it a week ago if any of you guys could help me i would really appreciate it

First off, that was very hard to read. But with that said, I'd put the holly back on, and fix the fuel leak. Next I'd look at the fuel pressure to make sure your fuel pump is working properly. It sounds like you have a fuel delivery issue. Even look at the fuel filter. I've seen people put them on backwards or worse yet not change them. They get overlooked alot.

You should have used new gaskets anyway you bought a new carb and sat it on old gaskets?Atleast throw some silcone on it.Thats a joke of course.
