2011 Sierra Black Bear TUNED!!!

I just got my 2011 4.8 sierra black bear tuned! I had a hell-of-a-time figuring out the AutoCal. Justin and Jenna make a GREAT team for customer service. I spent the majority of the day playing email tag, but in the end it worked out awesome!!

 

Im still not 100% on the capabilities of the AutoCal. Meaning I dont really know what I could change if I wanted to.

Im using the 87 octane engine tune

 

As for MPG gains.... give me a little while to find that out because im telling you what when you put the sport tune on (when i push tow haul button) and the truck shifts from 1st-2nd, it brings a smile to my face! its awesome!

 

you can feel the truck pulling ATLEAST 10-15% harder from 3K- redline. throttle response is greatly improved. the bottom end of the 4.8 is kind of gutless to begin with, but this tune helps.

 

if gas prices werent so high i would fill her up with premium and let her sing with a higher octane tune.

 

I can feel the difference when its not on sport mode as well, the shifting is less aggressive but the throttle response is much better over stock. however once you pick up the RPM's it just keeps wanting to pull. ITS AWESOME!!!

 

all in all, im 100% happy with BBP!!! highly recommended
