Hanging bike in garage upside down

I need to store my bike in my garage and it is going to have to hang from the ceiling. I was researching this and some forums said that if they bike has a front shock that hanging it upside down for long periods of time can cause the shock to leak due to the oil getting into place that it normally is not.

I have a 2003/04 Trek 4300 with the Judy TT RockShox up front. Is there anything wrong with hanging this bike from the ceiling, upside down by the wheels? I was just going to get the rubber-coated hooks and hang the bike from those.

If it will damage the front shock, I can find some of the hangers that are made for hanging bikes by the handle bars and seat.

Is there anything wrong with hanging the bike upside-down from the wheels or should I hand it rightside-up?

I have hung mine upside down with a similar shock without a problem. Never thought about it befor. If you are worried you could always get three hooks and hang the bike upright with two hooks on the handle bars and one on the seat.

I use a $5 brackett to hold mine vertical (front wheel up and back wheel down). I will post a pic tonight

I purchased a bracket from home depot that hangs it horizontally by the frame. I take the front wheel off, turn the bars and I can get the bike really close to the wall. I have also heard that it is bad to hang the bike by the front wheel, I am not sure if the claim is valid but I don't plan on testing it out on my bike.

I have hung my front suspension bikes upside down for years with no issues.
