If UCLA beats Washington State this weekend WVU will get in the Gator Bowl, because USC will win the PAC-10 putting then in the Rose Bowl leaving the 2nd At Large BCS bid to Notre Dame (Iowa already has secrued the other at large bid).

If Virginia Tech beats Miami this weekend Notre Dame MIGHT get a BCS game because Miami will drop some possibly bumping USC down leaving the at large bid for ND, leaving WVU with the Gaotr Bowl, AND a share of the Big East title.

Miami and Washington State both win the at large bids for BCS will go to Iowa and USC, leaving Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl

So Mountaineer fans, you better be pulling for UCLA and Virginia Tech this weekend.

I just saw another thing on ESPN.com (Bowl Schedule) That says Notre Dame could go to the Cotton Bowl rahter than the Gator Bowl. That would cool.

I spent some time at WVU in Morgantown before transferring back to a PA school, so I always root for the Mountaineers. In fact I thought it was GREAT when they beat Pitt at Heinz field this year, and I live less than an hour from Pittsburgh!!!

Thats a bad deal altogether IMO, Big East #2 is supposed to go to the gator bowl, but ND has the option of about every bowl. I think they should join the Big East like their Basketball team but they wont because they would never be #1 again being in the same conference as Miami. WVU gets the same money no matter what bowl they go to, (they get 1 million more if VT beats Miami). I was hopeing they would go to the Continental Tire Bowl, I might go to that one since its just in Charlotte NC.

Although I doubt either UCLA or VT will win, I guess I'll put my money on UCLA - maybe they can knock off WSU.

WVu will get more moeny for a New Year's Day Bowl (Gator Bowl) than they will for a smaller one. Teams that go to the major bowls like the New Year's Day Bowls get more money than the ones that go to smaller ones.

I would dig up my paper but you can probably find a Registered Herald down there. Thats where I got my info from. I think they said WVU would get 1.8 million whether its the Gator Bowl or the Continental Bowl, plus something like another million if Miami loses.

I'm just going by what ESPN said. They had a list on one of the College Gameday shows that showed the money the different bowls paid out. The New Year's Day bowls were worth alot more than the other bowls for the teams involved.

Hill, Morgantown won the High School AAA State Championship today over Parkersburg South too.

Yeah I listened to the Morgantown High game on the radio. Congrats to them! :thumb:

Also watched Miami beat Va Tech-not by a huge margin either, it was a high scoring game.

The Marshall/Toledo game was on this afternoon too. Marshall beat Toledo for the MAC conference title. I guess they're getting a bowl too but I'm not sure which one.

I listened to most of the High School game today. Then when I got in I saw some of it on TV. I thought it was cool that they had a statewide live broadcast for it.
