Anyone see those new Infinti commercials

In their recent print ads I just had to shake my head.  It goes along these lines;

 

Do you remember the

 

"Big Blocks"

 

"Muscle cars"

 

GPS systems and laser guided cruise control systems are pretty cool too.

 

The new Infiniti "____"

 

Muscle with brains.

 

Umm, no offense, someone who is truly into Big Blocks and muscle cars PROBABLY isn't looking at Infiniti's product line for their next automobile.

 

To me this is a ploy to get those yuppy guys who "think" they're car guys into thinking they're gearheads and that Infiniti's resemble the Big Blocks and muscle cars of yore.

 

I predict this marketing campaign won't last too long once they realize the real gearheads aren't buying Infiniti's.

Interesting how Webster's Merriam Dictionary defines "Muscle cars" as American-made 2-door sport coups designed for high performance driving... AMERICAN-MADE... 2-doors... designed for high performance driving... not luxury driving!!!
