Water dripping like the AC is on

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys, I don’t know if I never noticed it before or what. I have been seeing puddles of water right where the water from the condenser drips in the summer, this past fall I have been seeing the same when the heat is on. Is this normal? Thanks in advance Jake.

If your defrost is on, your AC Compressor does cycle to produce dry air, so it maybe possible.

Smell it or taste it, that'll tell you for sure.

If it's water it is normal. Like was said above, the AC cycles to dry the air during defrost mode.

Thank You Guys that makes sense. I keep it on defrost and heat all the time in cooler weather. I just never noticed puddles before, but this fall has been unusually humid this year. Thanks again Gent's.
