2001 ECSB Z71 - squeak in rear end

I got this truck about a month or so ago. Noticed when coming to a stop that if I dont release the brakes right before the complete stop that when I let off there is a distinct creak/squeak/groan from the rear end area.

I am assuming it is the leaf springs wrapping up, is there a fix for this? This morning roads were wet, i was on slick asphault and the tires spun up a bit and the noise was bad as the rear end starting hopping.

What is the suggested way to reduce or eliminate this noise?

Remove the rear driveshaft, clean out the splines in the slip yoke, that goes into the transfer case/transimssion with brake clean then add a good high pressure/high temperature to all of the slip yoke splines for reassembling.

That gosh aweful noise is related the driveshaft slide back and forth?

Well you are the man in my books. 15 minutes of work, some silicone grease on the slip yoke and the truck is quite as can be now.

Thanks....Todd
