Auxiliary input broken, what now?

Well I was cleaning out my truck the other day, my two year old daughter was in the passenger seat playing with the radio buttons, had my ipod

connected to the auxiliary input, not sure how she did it but next thing I know she was handing me the broke end of the cable plugin that was

plugged into truck, guess she leaned on it and broke the metal tip off. I was able to dig the metal tip out of the truck aux. input, but in doing so

damaged it. Now it will not do nothing. Can you buy the oem aux. input or do you have to buy a whole new radio? Thanks for any help.

It is part of the radio. You can buy a replacement radio online fairly cheap. Try ebay, and I'm sure you'll find a good deal.

Yea been looking on ebay found some oem radios, not too bad on price. I'm mr. cheap just wondering if you could replace the aux. input without spending the money on another radio. Oh well guess I will have to break down spend a few more dollars. Thanks man

I'd just go aftermarket, honestly... unless you really like the way the OEM radio works

take it out and bring it to a local electronic shop im sure it can be removed and replaced but it may cost the same amount as buying a new deck or going aftermarket.

Most likely you could replace it if you handy with electronics but if you have to pay somebody you might have more in it than it is worth. Maybe use a FM modulator with the IPOD instead? That is what I did with my 98 truck before I bought the 2011.

That's what I've done, since my Bose system doesn't have an input jack.
