Well, if you leveled your truck (lifting the front end), I would suggest you adjust your headlights.  If you did not adjust your headlights, you will be blinding the on-coming traffic.

This is something I have really noticed since driving the Honda daily.  I think it mainly has to do with the elevation of the headlamps.

Make sure you have them adjusted after the furd keys. :thumb:

I used to get that quite a bit.  I didn't aim my lights up or raise the front end.  They just looked bright if you were in a car.  When I put the body lift on I aimed them down considerably out of respect for other drivers.  I figured if I needed more light I could just flick on the off-road lamps.  But really around here you almost don't even need your head lights on at night w/ all the streetlights.

But, with the car I'm really missing how great the truck lit up the street :D Now it's a PITA to drive at night especially since it's always dark now.

Not so much in the truck but in the Camaro ALL the time!  So CMNT fixed this little problem.  First off, I have PIAA bulbs in both low and high beam fixtures, as well as PIAA 1000x driving lights in place of the stock crappy pencil beams.  They are also Super Whites so they are EXTREMELY bright.  :D

Well I did a search through the wiring diagram and found a way that when I flip on the high beams, my low beams AND driving lights stay on.  So, I'll be driving around with simply my driving lights on, get flashed by someone on oncoming traffic, I already have the headlights in high beam mode and flick the headlights on.  With all 6 beams on, that usually drives the point home REAL fast!  :D

I get it all the time since the furd keys were installed, and I sure do kindly remind them that was low, here is high.

I can't wait to get the lows hooked up with the highs, then they'll really get the point.

I also notice when I'm behind someone my lights are blasting light inside there car, seeing them reach for the inside mirror is a laugh.

Don't get checked, but I will line my left headlight up with the side mirror on some people based on their driving.  Just lets them know who's behind them.

I realize I am opening myself up for flames, but here goes...

When driving a car, it really is irritating to have someones bright lights in your eyes/rear mirror/etc., even if it is their low beams.

It would be very considerate of truck owners to adjust their low beams properly to allow the OPTION of not blinding car owners.

I had Hella H4's with 90 w low beams and 165w high beams.  I could 'Coon hunt at 90 mph.  My low beams however, had a hard line cut off aimed at the bottom of the back window of cars in front of me.

My headlights were too high after installing the ford keys and cars were flashing me so I decided to adjust my headlights.  Just a word of caution, if you lower them too much, the high beams won't even light up the road enough for you.  After a 12 hour roundtrip with the lights too low, I readjusted them and they are just about right now.  It took my wife driving the truck behind me in my other truck for me to realize that the lights were WAY too high.

Unfortunately, mine ARE properly adjusted and I still get the same from people in front of me.  It has more to do with the height of the truck.

Maybe I'll just drive around with my lights off completely so as not to bother other drivers.  :wtf:

Yeah i let them know my high beams werent on but it still gets annoying. Havent adjusted my lights yet so that would prob. make a big difference. Even before i leveled the truck out i still had this happen, guess my lights are just focking bright.

Bad idea!   I have a better one, just ship your vehicles to my address with a check to pay for storage and fuel (for occasional running), and I will take care of them for you.

You can ride around on a bicycle holding an oil lamp! :wtf:

(just so everyone knows...j/k)
