08 Silverado LED Dome Light Problem (Help)

Recommended Posts

Posted

I recently ordered some new LED bulbs for the dome lights in my 2008 Silverado LT (Crew Cab). When I installed them they wouldn't work and made the rest of the dome lights shut off. I tried flipping them around as LED's are polar sensitive and still nothing. So I removed the LED's and put the stock bulbs back in. After a few mins of the stock bulbs being in all the lights began working again. Today when I was driving home from work the lights on my steering wheel shut off, then after a few mins the lights for the control switches on the left of the gauge cluster went out as well, then to make matters worse the lights for the buttons on my radio went off as well. Now my dome lights don't turn on when I unlock the car/ turn off off the car, or even when I rotate the switch to do so. The only way to activate the dome lights is to manually click the button located on the headliner. Really annoying issue, not sure if this could be a fuse, relay and am not sure where I should start. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to the wiring and electronic system of my truck, so any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated. :(

Thank you,
