2003 gmc dic?

I have a 2003 gmc sl sierra without the dic button on the steering wheel. I have decided to change the oil.  Since i do not have the dic button all i have to monitor is odometer, hours,&trip.   Will i still get an alert light for an oil change??? even if i change the oil out early?? if so how do i reset it?? or do not get that message without the dic??  thanks

It's probably similar to the '02s and earlier.  Check your owner's manual.  On the earlier trucks, you depressed the gas pedal 3 times while the key is in the run position.
