08-12 key fob for remote start HELP PLEASE

Anyone know of the newer key fob that Gm was suppose to come out with that allowed you to start your car from farther away and should image of vehicle running on the key fob. I know they did but not sure of the part number or whether i can still get it as i want to upgrade mine for distance purposes.

its called a 2 way remote. not sure of the part number, has a different module that needs to be installed and programmed at the stealership.

gmpartsdirect.com has them but again their range is no where near that of an aftermarket one. The fobs themselves are also big and bulky.

Would I just have to get a dealership to program my truck since it aready has remote start.

The key fob with reprogramming on your truck will cost approximately 350.00 That was a huge price for me and I didn't think it was worth it. I researched the part number for all those that are interested and it is 19171129.
