iGO Primo Trip Monitor Question

I've been using the iGo Primo for all of my navigation for a few of weeks now and I think it's good, very good! However, I have a question about the trip monitor function that someone here may have figured out. I'd like to monitor my trips from start to finish so that I have total mileage and travel time in one neat package and I can't figure out how this is done. I can start a trip monitor session, but everytime I stop and kill the engine the trip is ended and another trip monitor has to be started from scratch. At the end of the trip, I have to total all of the trip entries to get the info I need. Is there a way to start a trip monitor session and keep it active until I tell the NAV to stop the session? Most other NAV units do this by default.
