best header size

im debating with which size headers to get. i just want low end torque but i dont want to restrict the engine at all. i was between 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 to a 2.5 in collector. i only have a tune and cold air intake, and will not be doing any more modifications to the engine any adive would be really helpful. thanks

Smaller tends to help torque down lower.

I would get 1 5/8.I have 1 1/2 on my vortec 350.I dont see the need for anything bigger then 1 5/8 on a DD.I would say go with 1 3/4 if your always above 4k.
