Goodhood and CAI

So while my truck is getting a new rearend I was thinking about getting a new CAI and buying a ram air goodhood. I can't decide if I want a Volant or aFe both with the scoops. The problem I run into is since the hood has that opening to send the air into the intake but the boxes are closed and i don't know if opening will fit sunugle over the housing if I take the top part off. Anyone run to this? Thanks for the help.

So your saying that your going to run a true ram air intake using a functional hood scoops? If so thank you since most people round here just have them for looks.

check with Volant..they use to sell the top cover for their air box that will mate up to the Goodhood...this was a few years ago..

Yes, if i buy something for my truck it better help it improve something a little. The only thing i have on mine that doesn't improve anything are the new 15,000k hids i have sitting around until i get my truck back next week. Thanks for the info desrtrat!!
