Transmission Fluid Disposal

I have a new 2500HD with the Allison Transmission.  I've got a ways to go until I get to the 5000 mile filter and fluid change.  There's lots of places to dispose of motor oil but I haven't seen a disposal barrel for transmission fluid.

Any ideas? ???

Just flush it down your toilet.    Just kidding!!  Stop by an Autozone and ask them.  Good luck with your new truck!!

I think the 5000 mile change just calls for a filter change.

I would maybe try the service department of your local city.  Or perhaps some other place that services fleet vehicles.

Transmission fluid is oil...  Special properties, but just oil ...  It can go along with the used motor oil.

What about OLD oil with water and dirt and crap in it?  I have had some old oil sitting in a few oil containers I need to get rid of, will anybody take it??  AND what about carburater cleaner, where do I take that?  Thanks!
