Want my exhaust to be perfect/correct

I appoligize if im asking a stupid question... but iwant the exhaust i do to work correctly..

I have a raylar 202 cam, intake, blackbear tuning, i plan on soon getting a set of stainless works long tube headers, right now i have stock mainfolds with the cats empty " they were starting to clog" and no factory muffler, Id like to leave no cats and add an X-pipe i have for balance and torque and then do two 12" borla xr1 mufflers with two tailpipes out, Im still trying to learn about and understand scavenging. so right now the exhaust flowing and working the best it can and properly.. Is more important to me than sound and or appeirance...

Please let me know what you guys think...

If i dont go with borla i woulddnt mind the right magnaflow

well from the factory is was 2 3" all the way back to the muffler than 1 tailpipe out,

So yea im probably going to use 2 mufflers and two tailpipes out

How would it run/sound if i just added the X-pipe and then ran tailpipes out with no mufflers?

Im concerned if its enough back pressure..

what size piping?i was actually thinking of running, hpipe with no mufflers.hpipe add a very smooth sound. But no mufflers and a xpipe will be a bit of the raspy side.

Well its the factory 3" with no cats.. Bilieve it or not i added the x-pipe on fri and actually felt a difference.. So im concerned with the backpressure being perfect... Im gonna do two round or oval straight thru mufflers.... We,ll see what happens.

Im still trying to learn about and understand scavenging....

Cant WAIT til i can get the stainless works longtubes!!

i have a flowmaster super 10 series single inlet dual outlet which works as an x for me and being a single chamber off dual cats it sounds really good, i have dual magnaflow 4" diameter tips

So ive been reading and trying to take in as much real exhaust info as i can, Now ive read " no restriction equals power" but at the same time loses TQ.... vice versa.. If theres to much restiction and/or backpressure your down on the power side.. So what im trying to figure out is the perffect combination to make good freeflowing power but have enough backpressure so my TQ isnt affected.

I would recommend this setup since your doing LT's.LT's,High flow cats,Hpipe with no mufflers.

Sounds good, i was really thinking X-pipe vs H.

with those headers andd no mufflers..It will really be the sound of the engine itself,

i like the hpipe better just because of the smooth sound, thats just my opinion it will still be a great setup with a xpipe.

Im leaning towardds a straight thru round magnaflow..X2

Ive been looking at so many mufflers im dizzy,lol..

Id really like to do the borla, Its just csh right now isnt allowing that..

Theres so any brands,choices....these days..Have you looked at the flowmaster site lately, seems like they have 100 different models to choose from.

I talked to stainless works today, they have a free truck install in sept..So im going there to get the long tube headers installed with whatever mufflers i choose.. he/they sugessted a chambered muffler vs a straight thru design when i told him i had no cats and an X-pipe... Just trying to find the perfect balance of back pressure and free flowing,

Its so tough knowing the more free flowing the better power its gonna make, but lose TQ which i love when it comes to towing/hauling...
