Trans slip/dealer woes

They told me it is probably sticking valves so i need to change the fluid.

Chances are its just a wag (wild a$$ guess) and they don't anymore know a solution to the problem then the next guy, as evidenced by thier desire to sell you a service you don't need at mileage that low. Kind of funny for a valve to stick one day and then go5,000 miles before it sticks again, does not make sense.

More than likely what you have is a blib in the TCM programming that lets this occur when the planets are all aligned just right and will never duplicate it for another driver. Unfortunetly there are many owners with various brands of vehicles who experience odd behavior. The more computers control things the more these kinds of anomalies will occur.

I had the same problem, but mine was slipping between 1 and 2. They were finally able to fix mine on the third attempt, I'll try and find the paper work and post it for you.

This trans. is always on the "hunt" trying to figgure which gear it should be in, but never accomplishing the task.

shift is delayed and harsh, may not shift : Check TPS for smooth and linear electrical response over the entire range of motion. If not, replace.

DO NOT FLUSH - never

My 2010 Sierra Denali does something kinda of similar, but it will rev all the way to 5000 rpm if I let it. Always random and usually when throttle input is light (i have the 6.2 so I keep my foot out of it). Took it to dealer to, it repeated, they cleared some settings on the trans....lasted a day then back again. I really think it is less of a Hardware thing then the algorithm they use to learn and control shifting.. Gonna try 1 more dealer.....but not what i hoped from a $56k stickered truck w/13000 miles. Thank god i did not pay that much.
