Fake Dodge Viper

At E3 this year we had Dodge Viper in our booth for Forza.

I later learned that it was made from foam, weighed 4000lbs, and cost around 1mill to make.

 

Money and politics makes crazy things happen....

 

 

I'm trying to find a better pic but no luck so far.

yes it would. And lighter too, I think.

 

I was told the reason why, hence the political part of my post... but it's been 4 weeks and I forget the details. Reguardless, there was a conflict of interest somewhere in the chain.

there was some other crazy detail like 40ish coats of paint.

I think this was the cars last show. Apparently it is getting beat up. What I really want to know is if they just trash it?

Well considering the new Viper doesn't really exist just yet beyond test mules I can see how just buying one might be tricky.

still, it is a 1 mill chunk of foam. I hurts just thinking about it.

It could have been a case where , "If we don't spend all of our "PR Money" our budget will be cut for next year!"

I can't confirm that, but it does happen. I've lived it on other shows...
