07 and up GMT-900 Door Speaker Install

Hey Blackout, Do the little speakers in the A pillar have their own channels coming out of the radio? or is there a crossover like and aftermarket component speaker? my door speakers have gone too but i just assumed i could buy a component and put them in the a pillar. Anyone try this?

I didn't mess with the tweeters so I can't be sure. I do know that you have to mod the mounting points because supposedly there are no direct replacements for those.

Do these trucks require the shallow mount speakers? I noticed on your pics that the tweeters stick up a pretty good amount from the regular speaker. Did these go in ok?

 

Im stuck between the Polk Audio DB-651 and the DB 651s on amazon.

Had both the 651 and 651s in my CC Frontier, very very happy with them. Vocals and acoustic guitar were quite clear and life like. I plan on putting them in my truck soon
