I just installed my prodigy 2 in my new to me 2500hd. I have confirmed that the wiring is correct at both ends of brake wire harness and that there is proper power to the trailer plug, Here is my issue, brake controller applies braking to trailer when drl or headlights are on but not when the drl or headlights are manually turned off. I need to order a new brake switch on pedal as this wiring issue fried the new one I just installed.

What I have done so far, Checked rear junction block near back bumper connections look clean and dry. Checked for proper current at brake controller harness,(brake controller will work manually in all situations) replacing factory trailer plug with oem it looks ok but was corroded on the ground pin when I pulled it apart. cleaned it with no improvement of situation

Things I am not sure off and not sure of proper testing procedure

10 pin flasher under dash

Rear junction block

Actual Brake controller functionality( Trailer repair guy will check if need be)

any help or guidance appreciated
