Pioneer P4400BH install in NBS.. ???'s

So Ive been wanting one of these HU's for a while and last night saw a deal on amazon i couldnt pass. $392 shipped / no tax!

So heres What I'm up against.

I bought the truck with the BOSE speaker system. I believe all that meant is the Amp , and 4 door speakers and 1 bose sub.

Ive since replaced my front speakers with JL C2 component speakers, and the rears with boston acoustics ext cab speakers..

I also have a 10" JL sub and alpine amp.

My plan is eliminate the Bose amp and the Bose sub. Also eventually I want to get a 4 ch. amp for my door speakers.

What would be the best way for me to hook up the new radio? I want to retain the factory chimes , and steering wheel controls would be a added bonus but NOT necessary..

I know i need one of the Metra adapters but the 2 i saw talk about working with my bose system. Im not sure which one would work and not be overkill... Also I heard sometimes the DIC goes through the factory HU... I dont think mine is , but my DIC is controlled by the steering wheel controls..

Thanx in advance for the suggestions. If anyone has a good source for installing one of these radios , i would greatly appreciate.

I ordered a little gismo that you wire to the "Parking Brake" circuit that allows you to play DVDs while in gear. BUT I bought the Advent OGM1 instead of the Pioneer. (I ordered the little gismo before they ran out, expecting to purchase the Pioneer).

I'll let you have it for $10.00 including shipping rather than throw it out. If interested, PM me and I will attempt to show you a picture. I have no use for it now. Now I am NOT advising you to watch movies while driving on your HU, as that is illegal.

You can look at them on ebay, its the brake bypass and youll see its an easy hookup near the head unit. as far as what will work around the bose im not sure. But you may or may not need to make room for that head unit. In my gmt-900 (yours is gmt-800) i had to cut out the back wall behind the stock headunit so my rca wires would fit.

How do you activate the Picture icon?

I have been trying to figure out how I uploaded my pictures to this site....I can't find it. Why does it have to be so hard?

Anyway, its three wires color coded for Pioneer harness going into heat shrink tape. I imagine its a diode and/or resistor in there. It is small, so it tucks out of the way easy. I scanned it and the instructions, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to post it here. Been a while.
