"Un-slick" leather seats?

This 05 Crew cab I bought in July has leather seats and my stuff keeps sliding off them. My softside canvas briefcase, IPad, and most anything zips right off in a moderate to quick stop. They do not feel as if they have any treatment on them & it was not detailed when I got it. Surprisingly, they are not worn and cracked up like most GM leather interiors that I have seen. It has 195K miles.

Is there anything to treat them with that might add some traction to them? I wish they were cloth. Cooler & not as slippery. My wife's Acura MDX is the same also.

 

Let me know if anyone has tried to solve this.

I just put stuff like that on the floor of the rear compartment in such a manner that it can be easily reached from between the front buckets. I don't like putting anything on a seat that can be placed on the floor for a number of (safety) reasons.

Try some saran wrap on the seat. Stuff will not slide as easy. Only issue is, you need to remove and replace it if someone wants to sit there.

Not much you can do to stop thing from sliding on leather seats.
