i paid less than 50 dollars for a piece of vinyl that measures 60x40 it was 3m brand i forget the exact color it was called but it is so damn close you could never tell the difference. I put it on myself and have plenty of left over for small projects or to replace it should i ever have to. i had my last truck done and it lasted 3 years and still had no issues. needless to say with the extra i now have a color matched phone case, key fob, lighter, and other random pieces lol

Cparks555,

I would vote color matched also!

Ruggedlife,

Do you have any pics of your bumpers? How hard was it to wrap the bumpers? And where did you get the roll of vinyl from?

any local graphics shop should have color swatches of the vinyl they can get. the shop near me does full vehicle wraps all the time and this was a 3m brand vinyl. it takes some getting used to the hardest part is the corner where all the curves come together, but with a little bit of heat and patience you can get all the wrinkles out of it.283801_10151104640852188_1975007389_n.jpg

the best part about it, is if you get bored with the color it peels right off to start over or leave it chrome

Did you have to remove the bumpers to get it to cover everything?

Posted

no the bumpers should not have to be removed. on my last truck i did remove them (i was doing a body lift at the same time). on this truck i left the rear bumper on the truck. but i did pull the black plastic pieces off most of the way so i could actually get it under it instead of cutting it right at the plastic. it will make it easier to remove the front one more than likely so you can pull all the plastic off if you wish to do so
