Truck Needs More Juice

Ordered my Stinger HPM 1/0 hyper twist cable. I ordered 5 feet of blue for the power and 10 feet of gray for ground. I'll have pics of the nice new Mac Daddy of an alternator and the wire when I get it. Hopefully I will get it all by Wednesday, I think the alternator will look good with the 3 piece VMax engine covers I have.

 

I'm thinking of running it through the power box near the alternator since I have something there already to get power. So alternator to power box to battery is what I'm thinking. Also where are the ground points I have to replace? I will be using Stinger gold plated 1/0 5/16" ring terminals.

The big 3 is the battery ground to chassis wire, the chassis to engine block wire, and the alternator plus to battery plus wire. Clean all surfaces off so its good bare metal and use coppercoat. I used 2/0 welding cable LOL. It was free.

I forget man, look for a bare braded ground off the block that straps to the frame it's usually just short. Yank it off and replace.

Ok, do I run straight from battery to alternator, or hit the red junction box before the engine? I ordered extra ring terminals in case.

It seems easy to do. My wore and terminals come today. Alternator tomorrow or Thursday. There were just the little things I was curious about like adding the wires or replacing. And that little junction box threw me off.
