Don't think it will be a direct swap. They use different wiring I believe. It might involve electronics needing to be changed also, like the control module.

it should work fine..take the 65 out and replace it with the 60. remount the AWD transfer case to the 60..the 4L60E-4L65E are the same case. only difference are some internal parts.

good luck

true, the case is exactly the same. the only difference is the iput shaft is beefier on the 65 and the planetary has 5 pinions vs the 60's 4.

The case and all mounting including tail shaft spline count and size are exact, Now i do not know if the torque converter is the same or not due to the stronger input shaft, but I would not recomend using your tq converter from your failed unit as it is possibly contaminated, just use the one from the doner vehicle. With the being said the patern for the flex plate is the same. I would also recomend replacing the tranny cooler and buy a can of line flush to clean out your lines. Remember if you remove the tq converter, when you reinstall it it will drop it three times. once for the input shaft, then the stator, then front pump. If you do not insure it is all the way in before you install the tranny you will destroy the pump. Just rotate it and slightly push till it is fully seated.

Sounds great I will use everything from the doner as long as I make it home I'm good I can use the cooler from the suburban I'm sure autozone has the cleaner I hope thank you for all the good info your giving me his trans only has like 10k on it it should do for a month or too till I get mine going
