Bigger Brakes/Brake Lines/Etc.

dont have the coin to go out and drop 10 grand on brembos all the way around...but i want to get bigger brakes in the front and rear of my tahoe...that and bigger steel braided break lines...wondering if you can swap front brakes to the rear and get some bigger rotors up front slotted or something..this is the one subject on trucks i really know nothing about..btw...blacked out the bumpers this weekend..ill post pics soon

Idoubt if that will work, but I have heard that just adding the larger braided steel lines makes a big difference in your stopping ability

You can't put the front rotors on the rears because the rear rotors have the E-brake inside the "hat".

 

Braided lines will help some, but that is not the perfect solution.  It works wonders on Motorcycles etc, because the brake line is rubber all the way down from the master cylinder.  On you truck there isn't much that isn't already solid.  It should give a little more solid peddle feel, but shouldn't decrease stopping distance much if at all.

 

I would check at a local speed shop and see about some new calipers/pads and maybe drilling your stock rotors... (I don't even know if it is possible to drill the rotors)
