2007 Tahoe LTZ rear inside door handle wont open door

on the catch / latch look to make sure that where the cable attaches to the catch there is not something siezed up allowing it not to move the catch , the cable may move back and forth but not the part inside the catch itself

ok - took the door panel off today. Actually - both rear door panels because the drivers side outer door handle had come partially off. As expected the cable and ball had become dislodged from the inner door handle. Turns out the inner part of the plastic handle had cracked. I got some jb weld - and applied it to the handle - so far so good. The outer handle also had the plastic crack. J\B weld there as well. Too bad these trucks are made so cheaply. My land cruiser never had these issues.

I'm pretty sure that won't hold. We tried that at my work in the pickups it is always the front door and we have to buy a whole panel.
