ABS question

My brakes on my 04 sierra had been pulsating at low speeds just before stopping for awhile. I read about cleaning the sensors and all so I did that today. The sensor on the drivers side snapped off as I pulled it out so I bought and installed a new one. The pulsating is now gone but the ABS light is now staying on. I unhooked the battery for a few minutes and then hooked it back up. I started the truck and the light stayed off for about 3 seconds and then came back on. Is there a secret to resetting the ABS light or did I screw something else up? Truck stops fine and seems as it should except for the light.

Thanks for any ideas,

Rob

Need to get the code(s) read, then cleared. Not all scanners will read ABS codes

Correct. Only the tech 2 can clear the abs codes. Auto stores can't do it. Find a shop with right equip. Or dealer
