dash issues

my 2003 silverado dash lights are dim on one side and oil pressure gauge pegged any ideas

Possible shorted circuit on board? May not be related. Oil pressue guage could be the sensor, wiring, or typical stepper motor in cluster. Does the oil guage do the normal test sweep from 0 to 80 when truck is started? or does it stay in the same place? If it stays its probably the stepper motor in cluster. The dash light issue could be a problem with circuit board I would think? Maybe some corrosion or high resistance? Have to test that one.

I'm thinking you lost a ground or bad ground connection and it's feeding back throught the gauge.
