Oil pressure

My truck is currently in the dealership for lifter tick. When I brought it there I complained that the oil pressure is very low on cold startup and she looked at me an said "of course it's low it's cold!"

This doesn't make sense to me. I always thought cold weather made more pressure! Anyways they diagnosed it as lifters and are replacing them today. Should I be concerned about the low oil pressure or not worry about it. Not a lot of warranty time left. About a year and a half.

The pressure on cold starts is at the first line so 1/3 the pressure gauge

WOW .... where do the dealers find these people.

Mention the low pressure to the techs working on your truck - no one else. Could just be the gauge - they certainly aren't noted for their stellar accuracy.

Your absolutely correct - cold oil pressure is ALWAYS higher. Can't change the laws of physics ..... although the U.S. Congress might try! :)

You're right, it's always higher cold. I would ask the techs to look at it, maybe they can use a diagnostic tool to check for accuracy of the gauge while running, you never know.
