To each their own. No one makes anyone own guns. It's just a right free people have.

 

Most gun owners are wary of gun control because limiting the populace's ability as a fighting force is the first step a dictator takes when taking over a country. It's much easier to suppress people who can't defend themselves.

The founding fathers knew this, as they had just witnessed a war where securing guns was essential to being free from British rule. The British jumped at any chance they had to capture the colonists' weapons, because without them the Americans had no chance of keeping them at bay. Just as it was their right to remove their government because of unfair treatment, it is our right as well, but is just history without civilians that own firearms.

Well said, the only gun control should be education. And I mean really guns should be stored securely to prevent theft when you are not home.
