Ban vehicles, they cause accidents. Ban knives, just ban everything that might injure you. Trying to legislate against human error is like trying to legislate morality or intelligence, it doesn't work. Statistically speaking crime rates are lower the higher the gun ownership in an area. Go look at some actual facts before mindlessly bashing something you seemingly know next to nothing about..

You really expect a kid to practice safe gun handling with what appears to be a squirt gun? The only reason this stuff gets any press is because of the current political climate. While I agree that there are obviously some idiots who in the very least need a refresher on firearm safety this is just being blown out of proportion because the majority of the media is anti gun rights.

No. I don't expect to see kids to handle guns. I expect to see kids playing in the sand box or seek and hide.

 

Kids aren't allowed in liquor stores or in "adult video aisle" for a good reason.

Even here in the GM Forum I was asked to make a note to my post: "...contains coarse language...". Because the kid was near by.

 

But "adults" take their kids to a gun show?

Vehicles are usually designed to get you to work and back home. To get your groceries home or the kids to soccer practice. But they are not designed to kill.

Guns are. That's the whole purpose of a gun. Nothing else.

The toy guns were not at a gun show, but a rally. People went to state capitols in many states today to show support for gun rights. That said, I've been to gun shows and wouldn't hesitate to bring kids if I had any to bring, assuming I felt their level of maturity and ability to follow instructions was adequate.

Actually a gun is designed to shoot a projectile, were the owner / user chooses to aim that projectile is what could cause injury or death. Similar to how a car is meant to be driven, if the driver decides to drive drunk or steer said car into a crowd of people or another car is his choice or mistake however you want to look at it.

 

I own many guns, some since I was the age of 12 when I started hunting with my father and guess what I have never shot anyone! Do these people need a class on safe gun handling? Yes, do we need to ban guns for everyone, no!

Aside from my first six months in Michigan I've carried almost daily since 2007. Never had an issue. My G32 is on the table next to me as I type this and it clearly isn't shooting anyone either. Guess I raised it properly.

It holds 13+1 and I also carry a second mag. Like I've said in other threads- the phrase high capacity magazine is another made up term. I carry standard capacity mags, ie what Glock designed this pistol to hold. Same for my AR, I own standard capacity magazines for that and the rest of my pistols. My HK would make a great carry gun but I have so much money into it I'm hesitant to subject it to the bumps and other abuse a carry gun sees.
