Adam's Grit Guard and bucket

Will the Grit Guard from Adam's work in a Home Depot Homer Bucket? I'd like to buy the Grit Guard without the bucket, unless I can be told something special about the bucket.

What's nice about their bucket is the Gamma seal lid. Makes for great storage. This can be purchased elsewhere too
