a tip..when changing/replacing bulbs, i put a little bit of dielectric grease on the bulb contacts, and in the sockets. helps keep corrosion from forming. corrosion in the sockets can cause heat to build up over time, and start melting your sockets.. when i bought my 03 new, i replaced all the factory Wagner bulbs with Sylvania bulbs(personal preference) and putting dielectric grease on them, I've only had 2 bulbs fail in 9 years, and my sockets are in great shape..just my personal experience..

So here is something wierd after putting my truck bed back on from replacing my feul pump conneted my lights for the back and all my lights started working fine then drove to the gas station turned the truck off then got back in and started then back to tge same problem

Sounds like a wire rub/pinch/ground issue.
