I see them do them all the time at work. Fuse won't fix a bad module.
They recalled the power modules on the HDs for them failing on 2020-2024 HDs but they use the exact same module. We've done some 2024-2026 1/2 tons already that needed a new power module.
Other possibility is corroded wiring. There's a spot the chassis harness runs to the back along the frame rail. We had a 2025 that had a bad section of wire there but I think it was for a different issue.
I had asked the tech when I scheduled the appointment about adding the 40 amp fuse like the old days, he said he did not know and they need to see the truck! He acted like this has never happened before and was not a common failure?
Absolutely. And they do look good on there. But if you are thinking of maybe going with another style, I like the idea of OE replica wheels mentioned above. Or even a set of OE take-offs from someone who has done a wheel swap.
When I had my 2020 LT/Z71 crew cab, I considered swapping the base wheel for a set of 18" trail boss wheels. Some people don't like all black wheels but I really like the pattern. Of course now I have a TB so I don't think about swapping wheels anymore.
OE replica wheels are always a great option, and they are the same factory designs from 2019-newer trucks. Search results – OE Wheels
You can do plenty of the newer style 18" wheel options in different finishes. Good quality too, I've ran this brand before.
I have 2026 1500 sierra Denali with 1300 miles on it. When you get up to 45 mph you start having wind noise and it gets louder the faster you go. It has been in the shop twice one technician who road with me said he could hear it too. I was told it was normal to have wind noise. At the price of the truck it should be quiet.
