hey everyone im Brandon from phx... here is my situation.. I was rear ended a few days ago and so far the damage cost from external view is sitting at 12800 not including anything under the truck... oh yeah I am have 2007 GMC sierra 1500HD. now I am trying to figure out a good price for the settlement so I don't get screwed, but this has been tuff because of my truck type its not standard. from what I found out thus far I basically have a 2500 that is badged as a 1500... I have the 6.0 vortec max motor and the heavy duty brakes and suspention just not the frame... so I am searching so that the insurance company doesn't try to screw me saying I only have a standard 1500... anyone have any ideas??? oh yeah plus I added a lot of stuff to her as well... cold air, bed liner, dual exhaust, nerf bars, new tires, sterio, 4.5 lift, etc...

Has the engine been changed? You should have the LQ4 with the 1500HD not the Vortec Max LQ9. The VIN will decode it as a 1500HD so no worries there. Problem is a lot of aftermarket parts don't raise value. Also is it SLE or SLT

to the best of my knowledge the motor has not been changed... the truck even says vortec max on the both sides of the truck, and it is a SLE. my vin number was a tricky one as well. when I went to get it insured it kept coming back as a chevy Silverado not a gmc. another thing I found that makes this truck a rare breed is in 2007 the gm dealer said they only made this truck in the classic style but that was the same year they switched to the new body style which is what I have. according to my vin I have the 6.0L V8 OHV 16V in her and it is a L76 gen 4....

Then its a regular 1500. When you say 1500HD that's classic style. Vortec max is just the name of the engine. If I were you depending on what the buy back price is, buy it back and keep or sale all your aftermarket stuff And part out what's good on the truck like engine, trans, axles(I'm in the market for a 9.5" rear axle), seats, console, wheels and well damn near everything else. Then haul it across the scales

The Max trailering packagae includes this: MAX
TRAILERING PACK,

includes (L76) Vortec 6.0L V8 SFI engine, (G80) heavy-duty automatic
locking rear differential, (Z85) Handling/Trailering Suspension Package, (AXN)
9.5" (24.1 cm) hybrid rear axle, (N56) 4-17" x 7.5" (43.2 cm x
19.1 cm) 6-lug custom aluminum wheels, (T96) fog lamps, (JD9) front and rear
disc brakes and (Z82) heavy-duty trailering equipment

Manufacturer Code: NHT

If you buy the 6.0 Vortex Max engine with the Stabilatrak you get four wheel
disc brakes. If you buy the 6.0 without it you get rear drum brakes.

this is what I found now I know I have a lot of this stuff the motor the disc brakes cause I have the stabilatrak

the fog lamps and the 17 inch 6 lug wheels that are aluminum im just sure how I can find the rest... or even where to start... I didn't get my truck from the dealer I bought it from a trucks only...

OK you have the NHT, My friend had a non NHT sierra and got discs, There is a market for the drivetrain and interior so you can make back what you pay the insurance company to buy it back, for things like a lift you need to search all over what a used kit goes for. I would say add $100 for cold air, maybe $150 for the exhaust. The little things are hard. Maybe total up what you paid for all the extras and present that to your insurance company because they need to pay you to replace what you had
