Has anybody used the Duluth Trading firehose pants? I get the little catalog every now and then and see them. My Cahartt pants are getting a little worn so I'm going to need some new ones soon.

Wondering about the quality and fit compared to a Carhartt pant.

funny you mention this I just got my catalog a few days ago and I have it open at the computer ready to start browsing.

Can't speak for their pants but I've gotten shirts, shoes and underwear from there and I've been very pleased with all of it.

I literally read this title in the "New Content" section while the commercial for these pants was playing. Ide like to try a pair or two of these, but I never can find any to fit. I have a 38" inseam, and most places only carry 34".

Im 6'2", but mostly legs. I could probably make do with a 36" inseam, but I dont like to flood. Plus, I was told once that you arent overweight until your waist is larger than your inseam, so Im gonna stick with my 38x38 pants.

Wow I am 6'3" and wear a 34" inseam on my jeans and khakis. They are plenty long

Got a pair for Christmas two years ago (Thanks Sis!). They ARE some tough and sturdily built pants. I am comfortable in them. Have not done anything crazy like have a chainsaw bounce into them or anything like that. I did have a wire rope slip off a tree trunk and slide over/down my leg . Bruised my leg but pants are OK. It was a fairly new rope so there were no snags yet.

I also have some blue jeans, I guess you would call them 'off brand', from the local Tractor Supply store. I would bet they would stand up about the same. Got those for 1/3 the price of the Duluth pants....
