Anyone ever ship something by truck freight?

I bought a 1972 Honda CT70 that was shipped from Pontiac Mich, to Western PA.  It was shipped via Roadway Express and arrived just fine.

I think most major carriers are OK.  I think the thing to do is find one that has a depot in both locations so neither person has to drive 50 miles to recieve it.

I drove to the nearest terminal to pick up the minibike.  They would have delivered it to my house, but the costs go up dramatically for curbside shipping.

I have to ship a rearend across the country. Anyone ever shipped by truck before? Who do you recomend?

Hey....  my father has to ship me a rear end this week or next (Mass to MI).  Did you find out anything about truck freight yet?

You can even call any of the major moving companies with an office/spur near your town, some times they have cheap rates based on space available status.

A lot of the motor freight companies have either bought each other up or gone away.  Also not all motor freight companies will haul cross country, they may serve region(s) only.

I called Yellow Frieght. They want $250 to ship the rear end to New York and I would have to buy a pallet to put it on.
