Adding a oil psi gauge on my 2011 4.3L V6

Recommended Posts

I just have the base cluster package(Fuel,Tach, Speed, Coolant Temp) I was thinking on getting an A-Pillar gauge mound and adding a couple gauges, One a voltage gauge and the other and Oil PSI gauge. I just like knowing what my engine is running at all times, I have a bit over 58,100 miles(I know the ECM is good at keeping the engine out of trouble, At-least on paper)

Would I be able to tie into the stock Oil PSI sender on the engine to get an accurate reading for the gauge or would I have to install a separate sending unit for the gauge to read correctly?

Prob going to buy Autometer gauges. Thanks for any help.

I installed a set of mechanical gauges a couple of years ago.I T'd into the oil pressure sending unit with a kit & a couple of brass fittings from Pep Boys.On a 454 it's next to the damper pulley, not sure where that is on a 4.3.
